I keep asking this question in other threads but it never seems to get awnsered. Can some one please tell me...please!:D
I just ordered a MA for my ds but now I'm wondering if that was a bad idea! AHH!! I would love to have a RF limit of 35lbs

We have a MA and a TF; my son is on the top slots on both and looks like he
may have ever so very slightly more room in the MA (but it's hard to tell).
I would go for the MA over the TF as a main seat. I really like the TF, but a big part of that is having gotten it for 1/2 price. I really did not like the MA at first, but having tried a lot of other seats since then it has become my favorite. Go figure.

I measured in the store and I believe it was 17.5-7.75". I recall it being about 1" taller than the Marathon in the store. I will go out and measure installed in the car.

Sorry - I misunderstood the question.
I get about 17.5" for both, installed, ff.
Still looks to me like the MA may be a tad higher...but I didn't remove the covers to measure. I'd still say, for about the same price, the MA is better (IMO).

Sorry if this is getting off topic. I'd like to revisit my previous post. I should have said that for our main vehicle (2006 Prius), I prefer the MA because I like having my son sit up higher (even though originally I thought I'd like him to be lower for ease of getting in/out - doesn't seem to make a difference in practice). I think he likes it better too. The TF is great! It seems really well made, well designed, compared to most other seats I've looked at.
Well padded, comfortable, relatively easy to use. For us, it works great in our truck (2001 Tacoma). Installation for both seats is trivial in our vehicles (especially after so many dry runs!) and ease of use is almost comparable (I find both a little tricky to tighten, but only slightly). My son looks comfortable in both andhasn't complained about either. I would actually recommend either. I don't think there's a dramatic difference in top harness height, so it becomes amatter of personal preference and maybe cost.
Sorry to have drifted so far from the question. I'm not getting much sleep lately and can't seem to focus
