I could use one of those now in DH's car...how easy to buckle three across when the other two are in boosters!

I'm probably alone, but I love the tubular frames - think of just how easy it would be to get them installed so nice and tight !

OMG! i was USING one of these just a few years ago!!!(Or something very similar) Back before i had ANY clue about cps, and it was one that we had at work to transport kids who didn't have a seat (I'm a social worker). We had a closet full of old donated seats. We just grabbed one if we were going to need it. We used them on a weekly basis. 5 years ago, I was using this seat to restrain kids in!!!!!!!!
ARGH!

I bet the designers of all these old seats are sitting around playing checkers and *itching about how their seats were/are the safest ever made and these younguns come around with their new fangled super plastic, soft cloth covers, decorative chest clips, and too many choices to put the harness, causing parents to be in a car seat frenzy driving the world crazy. Simplicity! Simplicity I tell you, metal and vinyl, cheap and simple. Back in my day we didn't have car seats, we are the kings of car seats. Dang radicals!

I do believe I saw one of these on the curb waiting for garbage pick up last week. Would have picked it up but I was late for my field experience. Also thought it was a weird retro recliner at first, LMBO.
