What was SKJP thinking??? (Monterey rant)

I decided to wash the cover of my DD pink Monterey yesterday. Getting that cover off was HORRIBLE! It was these awful push-in, pull-out plastic thumb tacks all over it in addition to the standard elastic loops, except that there were more hooks to attach to than loops on the cover.

Don't, I repeat DO NOT, put the plastic thumb tacks back in the holes to store them while you wash the cover. It's nearly impossible to pull them back out of the holes without being able to use th fabric underneath them to lift them out. Just ask my fingernails.

So besides wanting to rant because I will never want to remove that cover again, I have two extra elastic loops on the bottom cover at the back just where the seat back connects and I can't figure out where they attach to.

Has anyone else successfully redressed their naked Monterey? Or if you haven't pulled it apart yet, can you describe where those loops go? let me know if you need pictures.

This thing makes the cover on the Regent look like a piece of cake!

I've stripped mine down before for pics. It was a PITB!

The elastic loops go around the posts like so:
