Booster Lifespan

Are there any boosters that last more than 6 years? I'm all about the most bang for my buck

Also, what boosters are best for sleeping in?

Recaro seats last longer (indefinitely I think), and the Monterey may be extended--the jury's still out on that.

As for sleeping, the Monterey and Parkway have deeper wings. My dd has had no problems with the Turbo, but the Monterey and Parkway offer her better "pillows".

Yeah, the Recaro Start... Hmm... Joni, does the Monterey not say anything?
Frontier is 9, Nautilus is 6 with the back, 9 without it.

The manual to the Monteray says 6 years. But...is Sunshine Kids thinking that maybe it's ok to use it longer. That would be fabulous news :)

Yes, per Russ's email this morning. I guess the Radian started at 6 years and they extended it, Russ said he wouldn't be surprised to see the Monterey follow that.

Hmm...interesting. So, do we think if they extend the years, the old ones with 6 year expiration dates will be grandfathered in or only the new ones will have an extended expiration date?

The Recaro Start does not have an expiration. Other Recaro seats do, but I don't recall what that is. I believe it's the usual six years. Britax Parkway and (I believe) Monarch are six years, Compass/First Years is 7 years.

Recaro Vivo is an awesome seat to sleep in.

I haven't found the expiry yet - that said, I haven't looked very hard.

I think they went the other way... were good for 8 then went to 7... kind of wacky that the M was only good for 6 in the first iteration!

The current manual states the Radian is good for 8 years. Did they change that or did it used to be 7 years?
