Just got off the phone with Graco

I noticed yesterday that the GN, which has been used maybe 10 times since we got it has a tear in the harness around the chest clip. I called, they are sending me a new harness and an envelope to send the old one to them. She said they have had several issues just like this with the harness and they are conducting tests and everything. So just keep a eye on your GNs.

Oh, and their CS was far better than any Ive ever had at Britax

Very interesting. Can you take a picture of the damage so that we can see the what happened? It might make it easier to understand the problem so we can spot it early in other seats. Hopefully Graco can figure out what is going on. Does the chest clip have any sharp edges on it that might be cutting into the harness?

I have fraying around my harness adjuster. Its like rubbing on something, and i don't quite know what it is. I'll see if i can get good pics of it today.

Sure, I'll take a pic when my camera is charged. I cant find any sharp edges, so who knows. Im just glad I have a back up for my back up seat!! LOL

I'm looking to buy a GN so I'll be interested to know if they change something and at what DOM. Not sure how long I can wait to get one though...

Graco CS is GREAT! I called a few weeks ago just to ask about the availability of spare harness assemblies (web-site said they were back ordered), and the sent me 3 whole harness assemblies free!! and I got them 5 days later!

I will also vouch for Graco's CS! I called about a cover that was torn to shreds in the washer. I was more than willing to buy a replacement but they sent me one free! The lady said that it was absolutely covered by the warranty!
