Anyone with a CRV 2007 or 2008?

Could you check your manual re. car seats and whether you can use the seatbelt in the center rear position? I know I can use LATCH there, but with the Honda limit of 40lbs, I'll have to swap to seatbelt.

Yes, it's not a problem. Provided you can get a good installation you're fine.

Keep in mind that although there is LATCH for every postition, the center and driver's side outboard share a lower anchor (5 total). You can only use LATCH in one of those positions at a time and the placement is likely where using center LATCH will interfere with buckling the outboard seatbelt (or possibly the other way around).

Yep, I saw that if middle latch is used you can't use passenger outboard. The car guy tried to tell me other wise, and I counted the number of anchors - 5 - and told him that you can't use 2 carseats on one anchor etc. We put the Safeguard in the center spot with Latch and DH on the driver side was fine as the seat didn't encroach there. I was passenger side and it was squishy, but not too bad and I could do up the seat belt. I'm just under 5' 3'' and small frame. Anyone bigger and it would be more uncomfortable. For the occasional short trip, I'd be fine. When family visit and we need to take 5 people, I normally swap the safeguard with our Uptown and that should give more room.
