Then today I see a Dorel/EB seat installed with Lap/shoulder belt routed THROUGH the booster belt guides.

I'm serious.

I saw it through a window and stopped to stare. The l/s belt was routed up and through the booster belt guides, then somehow wrapped under the seat and snapped in.

My head hurts.:(

Yikes!! The other day i saw one of those cosco 5pt harness HBB, with the LATCH connectors threaded through the top harness height, with a child in it whose head was a good 6 in above the seat, then the LATCH connectors were connected to the splitter plate that was in the front where the crotch buckle should have been.

That sounds like it was a lot more work than installing it properly would have been! (With a child that fit the seat, of course.)

I saw that on one of my friends 3-in-1 seat. They thought it had to go through the belt guide first and then passed through the proper holes. I guess they never read the directions fully to know it was wrong. I did point out that it didn't use those guides until using it as a booster. Hopefully they continued to use it correctly after that time.
