Oh, the agony...

It pains me to throw away seats that look perfect, but that were in an accident. Though, now that I brought them in the house to take the covers off, I can smell air bag fumes on them.
I hate doing this. But I know I have to. It would at least *feel* more justified if the EPS foam was cracked or something!!

Ugh, stupid wreck.

Sorry to hear about your wreck :(

I hope everyone's ok. Remember - if the kids were with you, those Husky's did exactly what they were made to do. Don't feel bad retiring them!

Aaric was with me, Mikayla was not. Xander was. Luckily, the impact, especially for the kids, wasn't that bad. I was turning left across 4 lanes of traffic (8 lane road with a left turn lane in the center, and right turn lanes on the sides), and the 3 lanes going straight were all stopped to let me through. It was bumper to bumper, and their light was red, and they left a gap for me. Well, a lady was coming straight down the right turn lane, and so she hit the front passenger side, and it spun us around not quite 90*. In fact, looking at the van's position, you'd think we were just changing lanes.

So anyway, Xander's seat was behind me, so if anything, he was like the axis we spun around. And Aaric was in the 3rd row, passenger side. Aaric said if felt like it does when we slam on the brakes when someone stops suddenly ahead of us. His chest clip was still intact and clipped. Xander was sleeping, woke up to scream for a half a second, then went back to sleep.

Oh, a question - are the hugs safe to save and use again? I know the harness itself is not. I know Xander's are fine - his weren't even on the seat at the time, they were tucked under the cover since he's RF and I never could get a good fit with them on.
