Regent covers?

So, with a new baby on the way, the first thing I started thinking about was car seats, lol! We have a Britax Companion (given to us, never used!) that my mom is going to be sending to us on the barge next month (much cheaper than air freight, especially since we don't need it for another 9 months). We had my best friend up here last week with her 7 month old (RF in a MA) and the only way to fit 2 seats and an adult in the back seat was to turn Frank's RA FF behind the drivers seat (LATCH), MA RF in the middle (lap/shoulder belt) and adult in the lap/shoulder belt outboard passenger side. As long as we don't have another person with us, I can put both seats outboard RF. By the time baby comes, Frank may have to be FF. The RA fits FF, but he will be behind the driver's seat and it doesn't give him ANY room for his legs (I'm tall and I usually drive the car). Because of how high the base on the RA is I'm thinking that's why he doesn't have anywhere to put his legs. If I put him in the Regent, would that give him more leg room, especially since it sits on the seat much lower than the RA? We are getting our tax return in the next few days, so I want to order it ASAP, before the money disappers on other things (funny how that always happens, isn't it?).
Has anyone seen the Sahara cover? Is it plush or like the Racer covers? I don't have anywhere to see them (the joys of living in Rural Alaska). I think it's the cover I like the best, unless anyone knows about any cool new covers coming out in the next few months.
Thanks for listening to me ramble, lol. Mommy brain that's all over the place right now!
