Here is a Cosco Peterson Safe & Snug from 1983. It's brand new in the box with tags. Another big old dashboard in the kids face!

I dunno. I mean, there were naugahyde couches, chairs, etc. Vinyl was easy to clean.

And WOW At it being NIB!WOW!

What is the weight limit on the seat? and for total curiosity sake, what is the height of the top slot on that seat? Was it a RF/FF combo?

Yeah, It has the instruction sheet too. I'll have to go measure. You can see it rearfacing on the display tag attached to the seat.

Rear facing for less than 17 pounds, top slot height, 12.5 inches. My scanner is down, I'll try to take some pics.

Where are the volunteer children? I'd love to see some kids modeling the seat!! Of course if the top slots are 12.5 inches, better be a small child!

What do you want to bet nobody cared about shoulders being above the harness slats when they were using that seat? LOL.

Oh and sure does go to show you that NIB doesn't always mean safe... those CL users who are so proud that their seats are NIB ought to see this!

I'm sure you're right that nobody actually cared. However, the instructions DO actually this: "The correct slots are the first set directly above the child's shoulders."

Did anyone notice this excerpt in the instructions:

"If your child sits too low in relation to the shield, place a small pad on top or stuffed under the seat cushion. Do not have children over 34 inches tall sit on extra padding."

I wonder what parents used for a cushion.

Nope, missed that. Probably a towel.
