Need Help Choosing...

I am the nanny of a 17 month old girl. In my car she is in an Eddie Bauer Deluxe Booster and in mom's car she is an a Britax Marathon. The baby is 31 lbs now and very tall. After reading all the posts about ERF I am wondering if I should turn her around until she reaches 33 lbs. My EB doesn't have a RF option but I have another carseat that also has a 33 lbs RF weight limit I could use. I feel bad for having her FF but don't know if it's worth it to switch her back for 2 more pounds.

Also her mom is expecting #2 in Nov. :D I am looking in to getting an infant carseat for the new baby to have in my car. They have a Peg Perego SIP that they are planning to use again for #2. I HATED using that carseat. It didn't seem easy to use. I have been researching and I think I have decided on a Graco SS1. What do you guys think? I want something that is easy to use, preferably has a higher weight limit (since #1 outgrew the PP around 4 months... I want an infant carseat that will last a little longer!) and not hugely expensive. and I'm also looking into buying the new Graco Quattro Tour Duo stroller to use as a travel system with the SS1 and the older baby. any suggestions?

If you have a car seat that will accommodate another 2 lbs, you can go ahead and RF her. If she were older, I'd probably say not to worry about it, but 17 months is still very young, so if you CAN RF her, might as well. At that age, though, she's probably still gaining weight pretty quickly, so make sure you stay on top of that.

As for the new baby, I would think it would be easiest for everyone to just get an additional base for the seat they're using. If you really don't like that seat, though, and can afford one of your own, the SS1 is a great choice.
