Ok, It's the infamous Fisher Price T-Shield! Kind of lax on the padding. Check out the US Air baggage tag. I'm sure a lot of you have come across this beauty before. This is for display purposes only, seat will not be used.

I used to have one of those... I got it free from some guy in town. LOL.. actually, i think we traded him a horse saddle or something for it. It had the button the harness strap though. And the recline mechanism was held upright with wire.

That ratcheting harness was soooo easy to use though.. I loved that!

Retractable harness. I don't know for sure what that is sewn to the left strap for? Maybe to keep it from retracting too far?
Oooh yeah...wouldn't want any choked babies...

(I wish seats had retractors now...might make kids want to be harnessed a lot older....)

Scary though, I saw TWO of those in use this week at walmart in the same car:eek: I left them a note saying they were expired and the info for the health dept to get free seats. There was also a base for a century infant seat in the car.

Ahhh, the "Felony" Fisher Price. I think that one might win for most recalls. So many people had those. My aunt had one that was passed around for like 10 years.

I confiscated one of these that was from 1984 a year or so ago. It was something of a wonder! I dearly love the retractable harness though. It is quite a ingenious invention.
BTW, Classic Seats may not use these, but tons of people are actually still using these things.

OMG My favorite seat Classic!!!!!!!!!!! :D That seat is being used by our local ambulance still!!!!!!!!!! I told them I want it! They keep insisting that "it's not that old." GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I still see people using them around my region............hopefully the newspaper speeds up that article on Expired Seats. We sat down about a week ago to talk and take pictures of some of my gems (Touriva OHS and Century 1000?)

My cousin had one back in 93 that was pretty. It had a retractable t and was pink/green/purple. I thought it was the cat's a**.

I see that seat in use all the freaking time here. I wish car seats would spontaneously combust when they hit 10y from DOM.

Loved that retractable harness, though

Classic seats, go to your Usercp and create a siggy that says

"These seats are for viewing purposes only. No child will be placed in them"

It would save you some typing. And it would show up at the bottom of all your posts.

I couldn't afford one of these when they came out but I remember that I wanted one sooooo bad because of the retractable harness! ;)
