I am registered on this board but cannot remember my username or password (too many at work, too confusing)
I jut got a used 2007 HHR, and was able to take my regent out of the aztek and put it in the HHR right at the dealer, in just a few minutes! I did use latch, since my son is about 33-35 lbs at 4 years old, but it was so easy that I worried I wasn't doing something right.
It's rock solid, and the tether was easy to find. It's installed on the passenger side outboard, I'd like to put it in the middle because the car seems so narrow, but right now he likes it where it is- the passenger seat folds down and the flat plastic seatback makes a great table to secure his DVD player on. With the seat down he has a great view out the windshield.
I had to get the FPSVD from my parents to put in the aztek. I guess I'll get them a compass booster since they never figured out how to install or use a carseat properly. They hardly ever take him anywhere when I'm not there anyway, but I kept one at their house for emergencies.
