Yesterday I came across Kyle's video again and decided to email it to the few ppl I knew who had kids young enough to be in a 5-pt . This was the email I sent out.

Kyle is the reason that my kids all ride in a 5-pt harness. We moved Jolie from a booster back into a 5-pt over a year ago in February of 2007 after I had seen his video for the first time. Jolie just turned 8 yrs old yesterday and there are still seats on the market that harness her just fine at 60 lbs and 49 inches tall. Just like the Miller family we had moved her to a booster because that was the minimum requirement by law and as a parent you assume those requirements must be the safest option available right? We didn't know we had other options until this video. When you know better you do better.
Here are just a few of the affordable seats on the market-

This is a wonderful site that is slightly addicting but gives great advice.

I hope I have given you all some food for thought

My Cousin was one of the 4 ppl that I emailed and this was her response not 7 hrs later
Your email really hit home for me. We now have 2 brand new 5-point seats rated to 80lbs for Alex and Hannah. Cost a small fortune but I don't care.
Thanks for the tip, you may have saved my children's lives and just don't know it yet, Thank you in advance...

Turns out she went to BRU where her DH works and bought 2 Britax Regents last night. She said her neighbor went with her and her neighbors DD who just outgrew her 40 lb harness seat will be getting a new seat with their stimulus check.
So at least 3 kids that were in boosters will now be riding a little bit safer
