Washing cover questions

I'm about to wash DD's Madison Regent cover for the first time and I had a few questions...I'm planning on washing it on the gentle/handwash cycle in my machine. Question 1 is can I use SHOUT or other stain remover on it? Question 2 is, can I use regular laundry soap on it? (I have Tide with bleach alternative that I wash our laundry in, is that ok?). Last question is, can I was the belly pad? (I don't want it to fall apart). Thanks!

It would probably come clean if you just did a cycle in water. But if you want to use soap, the most gentle kind is going to be the best. I throw a TBSP or two of oxy clean or even just baking soda in there. You can wash the pads with it too. It won't hurt them.

FWIW I just washed our Britax Cowmoo using a whole bunch of sprays of Oxyclean stain remover (the BEST stain remover!!) and a very small amount of detergent (like a teaspoon) on gentle with an extra rinse and it came out looking BRAND NEW!! I'm very happy with how clean it is, and no dammage:thumbsup:

I have had no problem with regular laundry soap, gentile cycle and very low heat in the dryer.

I use our regular laundry soap (All Small and Mighty Free and Clear) on the gentle cycle and then air dry. It worked great. Hand washing really soiled areas first though is REALLY helpful.

Thank you for the tips

I can't believe I waited so long to wash it (a year)...it's just starting to look grungy and I want it to be beautiful again, but I didn't want to ruin it!
