2001 nissan pathfinder: regent in center? & retrofittng?

someone on another baord is interested in getting the regent. she doesb't have LATCH or TA. can you instal the regent in the center position of this car?

how about retrofiiting it? can she do that & what is the part # for it

I can't speak to the Regent's compatibility in the center of the Pathfinder, or in the Pathfinder in general, but in theory it could be possible since the 2001 Pathfinder either has factory equipped tether anchors in all three rear seating positions, or can be retrofitted with top tether anchors in all three rear seating positions. Around the middle/later part of the 2001 model year, Nissan began including three factory equipped top tether anchors in the Pathfinder, located in the cargo area, just in case hers is new enough to already have factory equipped tether anchors. Earlier 2001 model year Pathfinders have three 8mm weld nuts under the carpet in the rear cargo floor for retrofitting top tether anchors. The Nissan retrofit part number is 88894-89900 and the part costs approx. $15 each at a Nissan dealership.
