My SIL is pregnant and I'm helping her shop for baby stuff for my new niece. 
Anyway, we were looking at infant seats and I noticed that the Britax Companion is the only one that has the anti-rebound bar. How important is this feature? It's a very pricey seat to only use for a few months as my SIL only wants to use the bucket for a few months until she can move to a convertible.
I was thinking that since it's important to tether rear facing convertibles if you can, why no anti-rebound feature on most infant seats? Does the handle (if you can leave it up) act as an anti-rebound bar of sorts?
Oh and ftr she's picked out a snugride with eps and a front adjuster. The safeseat and keyfit are more than she wants to spend on a bucket that she doesn't want to use for more than a couple months.
