Anyone have problems with the length of the harness strap? My dd is small (only 15" shoulder height...35 lbs on a good day) and there are only a few inches left on the harness strap that hangs down at the bottom of the seat. Anyone have issues with this? Just seems like she will run out of room rather quickly.

Thanks!

my dd is almost 3 has about a 14 inch torso and weighs 37.5 lbs and there is alot of harness left. Could the harness straps be routed wrong?

My ds has a 15in torso and weighs 36lbs and has at least 8-10 inches of strap left hanging down. Maybe it's caught up on something. If not maybe you have a defective seat.

I was hoping that was the answer. I see all the pics of the bigger kids is the gn and kept thinking...why does mine not look like that?!? I will have to uninstall it when I get home and take a good look at it. Thanks for the info.

There is a specific way the harness straps need to be routed on the back, maybe that is the problem. Or like others said maybe it is getting caught on something.

Do you have the headrest above the harness slots she's using? It needs to be, and if it's too low, it'll "eat" harness length as well.

We're on the second-from-the-top slots with plenty of adjustor strap left.

I took it out and it is routed correctly over the rollers and everything...so I'm not sure. I will probably mess with it tonight when dh gets home...maybe it just looks short to me b/c there is not as much length as the frontier? I would like to try my cousin's son in it to see if he fits (he is a big boy...Grace will be lucky to catch him by the time she is a 6 year old). We are seriously thinking of putting the Graco in dh's parents car. As hard as the Frontier is to install (it is getting easier)...I just don't like the buckles on the Graco for everyday use. Even dh was fed up with it just using it one day and is thinking he would like the Frontier for his car too. Maybe I can get her in the carseats to take pictures tongiht and post. She is anti-carseat right now and will only sit in it if we are going somewhere (cannot for the life of me get her to just sit in it to get a picture...4 year olds!! :) ). Thanks for the advice.

Someone else on her erecently posted that her straps weren't long enough.

I can measure mine if you'd like - I need to take it out and wash the cover again anyway (darn daddy and a grape sucker - ick).

That would be great if it's not too much trouble. How are you doing that? REmoving the whole harness somehow?

I'll have to undo the harness to get the cover off. I'll measure from where the hip straps come out of the bottom up to the ends.

It may be tomorrow night before I get to it though - SO is home today (rare occurance).

Here is a pic of my ds in his GN that I took yesterday. He has almost identical stats to your dd (15in torso 36 lbs). As you can see there is plenty of strap left hanging down to adjust with.

OP, before you start taking everything apart be sure to lift the head rest up...when it's too low it eats up some of the harness slack.
