I think my twin sisters (born in October 1971) had #3. Strangely, I don't think I had a car seat (born in August 1970) and I don't remember that my brother (born in 1976) had one either. But we DID always wear our seatbelts, which most likely saved my brother's life in a crash when he was 6. :thumbsup:

I e-mailed the pic of this ad to my mom to ask if it was the car seat my sisters had. She couldn't see the pic, but she said most emphatically that I DID also have a car seat. How does she remember? She remembers having to "cram all three seats back there." Kudos to my folks for doing a 3-across way back in the early 70s! :thumbsup:

Nah, no submarining here, it's a wraparound waiting to happen with those shoulder belts attached to the shell 8 inches further apart than any kids shoulders could possibly be.

wow....I was born in 1967.....no recollection of any restraints........other than mom's hand reaching out in front of me.....LOL....silly mama, she didn't have a clue about the laws of physics....
