Opinions on Phil and Ted's Escape Backpack carrier

We're looking for a framed backpack carrier to use for light hiking this summer with our 30# 3 yo. Does anyone have experience with this carrier? Or any others that you would recommend? It will mostly be worn by my 6' DH but I'd like to be able to use it occasionally too and I'm only 5'3".

we don't have that one. we have the evenflo snugli crosscountry carrier:

it's been great for light hikes. it has an enourmous zip-up storage pouch, other smaller pouches and pockets, a support stand for staying upright with kiddo in it, a removable sunshade and lots of padded support. DD2 never rode in it, she spent most of her time in an ergo. but DD1 loved the snugli whenever we'd go hiking in the country. she fell asleep several times in it. it's also among the cheaper frame packs... i think we spent $69 for it.

I like the Kelty backpack carriers.
