Here is an Evenflo Dyn-O-Mite Infanseat carrier/carseat from 1985. I'm sure this was a popular one. Thick padding and adjustable recline.

I probably had something similar (82) I asked my mom when I started using just the seatbelt... She said she thinks around 3!! We had one of the HUGE 2 door oldsmobiles with the 50lb 4 foot long doors. It was forest green mmmm. Yeah good times. My favorite is still that baby catepult seat you posted one day. It had no belts just hooked over the seat
