trading Monarch for ???

im thinking of trading the Monarch. ds doesnt like the way it shifts..neither do i. he doesnt like the side wings, etc. etc.

so, what for?? Monterey?? what else? i definitely want LATCH b/c he just doenst remember to belt the booster after getting out in car line and babe and i dont like driving with an unrestrained projectile the whole way home! lol!

pls. help me not make another mistake!

This is for your 10yo right? How does he fit in a LBB? Maybe a clek olli? I'm trying to recall my latchable boosters... Jane indy, but if he doesn't like the wings... A GN in booster mode?

How close is he to passing the 5 step test?

he's pretty close. he passes in the car but not in the SUV (his feet dont touch the floor and i dont think his knees bend at the edge of the seat).

I COULD take the high back off the monarch and use that but i dont think i will be using it for any other kids (8 years difference) so its kind of a steep price for just the lower portion yk? :( I was thinking he wouldnt mind the head rest but apparently he's not loving it. :(
