Titan rf limits?

I have a mama on another board asking about this seat: http://www.sears.ca/gp/product/B0010VMOO8/ref=wl_1_0/002-8209870-9772815?ie=UTF8&searsBrand=core. I noticed it says rearfacing to 35lbs. That's not right, is it? She wants to turn her two year old back to rf, but I thought the max was 30lbs? I told her about the Titans issues, but aside from that, I'm not sure what to tell her. How much is the Triumph Advance?

The max weight limit on the Titan in Canada is 30lbs. We don't have any seats that rf above 30lbs at present.

The Triumph Advance sells for $149 at Sears and TRU/BRU, and $145 at wal-mart. Apparently not all wal-marts have it, but if you find one that carries it you can have it shipped to the store closest to you. Wal-mart carries the barley twist pattern, sears and TRU/BRU both carry the winter ice pattern. Both are LX models, neither have the IMMI LATCH connectors.

If she has a Sears nearby that carries it, it goes on sale for $134.99 fairly regularly. Super Saturdays there are sometimes further coupons and they are added on in addition to the discount, so she should be able to drop it down to $125 - depends on how soon she needs the seat.

The Triumph Advance seems to have had a much higher demand than anticipated, and depending on her area stores are having difficulty keeping it in stock, so she may want to call around. I know our TRU/BRU got 14 in last shipment, and they had 4 or 5 left the last time I was in. And that's less than 2wks since they arrived in store... (keeping in mind most people are still buying the 3in1 seats around here... and this is just one store in the city )

I am in a tiny bit of a rush, DD needs to move to another seat, she's tall already at 9 months. She'll be moving in to the Costco AO that DS is in right now. I have to check her again to see if she has an inch above her head.

Since you're in a hurry, I'd call the stores in your area then and just focus on finding one in stock. Even at $150, it's still a really good price for the seat. Sears could have it on sale right now for all I know too, I'm not absolutely sure as I didn't see their flyer this week. :thumbsup:
