Scenera RF harness positions?

OK I must be missing these somewhere, but on both my seats (radian and scenera) I could not find which ones were for rear facing and which were ff only. The radian was fairly obvious and I got that confirmed. What about the scenera? He's about 1/4 short of the 3rd slots and is currently set to the second ones.

I'm not sure what the manual says. I will have to check.

I used the second-from-the-bottom slots when RF and am now using the top slots for FF.

Can you elaborate on the Radian's positions? My manual says nothing....

But anyway, the bottom three are fine for the Scenera...if you were using the top one then your kiddo's head would be too close to the top of the seat to be rearfacing safely (which is actually the same rule I use for the RN, my dd's been at the second to top slots for months now, rearfacing, head well below the top of the seatback).

Edit: Oh, here's the transcript of the chat with the carseat engineer about the Radian:

"Carseatengr -> Special Events - CEU Chat Session: Re slots rear facing - if one follows our weight limitations regarding rear facing any slot may be used.

Carseatengr -> Special Events - CEU Chat Session: And I might add our instructions regarding the harnesses must be followed as well - so if the rear facing child is tall and is 32 lbs it is possible the 4th position could be used. "

Both the Radian and the Scenera have all reinforced slots so can be used rfing or ffing, but like was mentioned, the top slot in either seat just isn't practical for rfing.

that's great to know..

When I checked on the radian I was told the bottom angled slots were RF, and the top two straight ones were FF. Since I have a tall skinny baby knowing I can use the higher slots is great! He's almost in the third slots on both seats... well that 1/4-1/2 inch could take a while for him to grow, but I wanted another 2 years RF.
