Evenflo Triumph (Old style)

I'm having a problem with the crotch strap slipping to the widest setting. I continually am pushing it back into place and trying to "lock" it into position....but it wont stay. DS doesn't need the extra room, and I'm trying to make sure that the buckle is as close to him as possible since the buckles themselves dig into his lower ribs.....and when its closer to him, they don't dig as much.

Is this a "normal" problem with the old Triumphs?? And what can I do about it?

interesting! ours is the opposite! it keeps migrating to the narrower setting (toward the seat and away from the legs). i would think it would tend to migrate that way naturally from the tension of the harness... hmm...
