2 kids does it matter what side they sit on?

I have a 2 year old and a new born coming next week. They obviously will both be in car seats, in the back seat, and on the sides, but I was wondering if it was suggested anywhere which child should be behind the driver, and which should be behind the passanger? Does it matter?

It doesn't really matter. Being properly restrained in an appropriate carseat in the back is by far the most important thing. Relative to that, the choice between center and outside seats is small and the choice between driver and passenger side is negligible.

Keep your 2 year old in a 5-point harness as long as possible and your infant rear-facing as long as possible and they will be extremely safe.

My 2.5yo is still rfing so I have him behind the passenger seat b/c that seat is always back as opposed to the driver's seat that I have to scoot up before I drive. In case we are in an accident, this will keep AJ's seat from overrotating as it'll hit the front seat.
