hello!
We were just out returning birthday stuff at TRU and DH spotted an out-of-box EFTA on clearance for $75. He asked me it was legal to sell a seat with no manual. I told him I didn't think it ILLegal, but I thought it was in poor taste. Upon further inspection I discovered that the seat was almost a year old (09JUL07) and had no warranty card.
Then, while I was playing with the straps I noticed that there was a twist in the hip strap. Ok, no biggie right? Except that it appears to be a continuous harness and there is no access to the splitter plate because of the infinite harness adjustment. So there was NO WAY to fix the strap. DH then noticed that someone had written on the clearance tag "DISPLAY ONLY"
What's up with that? Can that seat be fixed? Are they allowed to sell Display models? I took it to a manager and had her remove it from the floor. You better believe I'll be back tomorrow to make sure it's gone.
