how to get serious puke out of ETA?

My son seriously blew chunks in the car this morning. He's fine, but oh my... the car seat is not. I'll throw the cover in the wash and let it air dry, but what do I do about the shell? There's puke down under where the crotch belt is secured. I'll try a soft toothbrush & Dawn, as suggested in another thread for as much as possible. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
sue

ps - it's the ETA DLX

this is one of the reasons I got rid of mine. My ds threw up big, twice in it. It took me about 6 hours to get it all out. i used soft tooth brushes, tooth picks for tiny areas, and pipe cleaners. It came out of the cover fine.
