? About Removing Armrests on Nautilus ?

Just trying to come up with a game plan here with carseat configurations. I was wondering, since I don't have my manual handy, if someone could tell me if removing one of the armrests from the Nautilus would be "bad"? I can puzzle a MA between the 2 in my 3rd row if there was no armrests to block the MA from sitting down, KWIM. I would like to put DS#4 back there FF when he reaches the RF weight limit in his MA. I would like to free up that outboard seat for Baby #6. My firefighter BIL told me that I could just put my DS#1, 7yrs, back there with no booster with the seat belt! Not only is that illegal in our state, 8 yrs-80lbs, but he is a light weight and I don't plan on him leaving his booster no time soon. :)

I had the same question a while ago....

Regardless of other (possible safety) issues, I believe it may be hard to get the armrests off again, once you have clicked them in place solidly. The recent rumor (from one of the Lifesavers threads) that the Nautilus will be shipped already assembled in the future did not sound like good news to me (since I was still somewhat weighing the option of leaving off an armrest).

The Nautilus armrests are connected to the seat with a strap, so you would have to cut the strap, which would alter the seat and void the warrenty. The armrests help hold the belt where it needs to be.
