Can I use an iron-on applique?

I just ordered a University of North Carolina MA replacement cover for $48 shipped, and want to cover the logo w/something. Can I use an iron-on applique? Or should I have my mom sew the applique on? I'm pretty sure that the cover is all plush.

I pretty sure the fabric is synthetic and would melt. The cover and your iron would be a BIG mess. If there is an inside edge that doesn't show you could do a tiny test. your iron may still get gooey though.

ooh, i hadn't thought about melting. yikes. okay, i think i'll have her sew something on. thanks for the input :)

Definately have her sew it on! My mom tried ironing onto a jacket of my daughters and it made a BIG mess. Hole in the jacket. I had to get a new one. I would just rather be safe then sorry!

We're doing the same thing with our Regent.... My mom is doing an embroidered applique and sewing it on.
