I finally got off the fence

And moved dd's harness to the top slots in her MA.

I've had them up and down a few times now with changes of install & location in the vehicle, and just to check that she's actually over the 2nd from top. I don't know that it would've bothered me as much if the harness felt as snug when the straps are so far above her...

Anyways, I said to dh tonight how if it was any parent I would tell them to move them up and be done with it, so I'm going to try and take my own advice. Dh figures I'm still going to obsess over it until she's clearly consistently obviously over the slots, but I'm going to try really hard not too. LOL

lol - I keep trying to decide where 2 of my kids' straps should be! My oldest is kind of even with the 2nd to top slots and so is my 3 yo. I have them both in the top slots, but keep thinking I should move them down! It just looks too high and sometimes they look below the 2nd to top. But like you all say - when in doubt, move them up!

I have that same problem!

DD has been in the top slots of her marathon for months now. But I reinstalled her seat over the weekend, and got it more upright than it normally is. Now she is below the second to top slots. She gained over an inch of harness room! But, I've not moved them back down because I'm afraid I won't be able to get it this upright again and I'll have to move them back up .

Yeah, it's hard to follow the when in doubt rule when you know you're ok with uninstalling and reinstalling at a moments notice, so you delay until you're sure.

But when I put dd in the truck tonight the straps very slightly wrapped her shoulders, so I knew it was time even when there are occasions she's still slightly under.

Yep, that was part of our problem too - and we lost a little height when I reinstalled it after moving them down. (I'd taken it out to move them up, reinstalled it and then she was definitely under, took it out at my parents and moved them back down, and she was just a hair under or at. ) I know there's no way I could get it anymore upright than it already was though, so I'm hoping the difference this time makes her definitively and obviously over the slots. LOL

LOL I left Joy's in the top slots when just before her 3rd bday my neice was using the MA and I needed to move them for her. I didn't bother moving them back down again because while Joy was fine in the next slots down, S would be using the seat again in just a few days.

Yay

I am still on the fence as M complains if I just move them because they bother her neck. So instead I check every time knowing one of these times I will have to re-install the seat when she finally goes over for sure.
