Convinced my BFF. . . now we need to pick a seat.

My girlfriend has her two youngest kids in well installed Britax seats but had moved her oldest to a booster. I talked to her about continuing to harness him and she agreed!! YAY! (I knew I loved her for a good reason.) Now we need to pick a good seat. G is 5.5 years old and weighs 47 pounds and a bit on the tall side. She drives a Toyota Sienna. I'm sorry I don't have G's torso height or the year of her Sienna; I will post them when I find out.

Also, they fly at least twice a year.

I think a Regent would be the max money wise but doesn't work for the airplane. A Frontier would be stretching it. Maybe a Nautilus but they take A LOT of loooonnnnggg car trips; would it be comfie enough? A Radian?

Obviously, I'm not coming up with anything definitive. We need help! Thanks.

I would recommend the Regent because of the tall harness slots and comfort for those long car rides. For traveling, I don't travel all that often so I'm not sure what to recommend. :)

Let me get this straight: the top harness slots on the Frontier are LOWER than the top harness slots on the Regent???? I'm so confused why Britax would do that. It seems like a Regent would give her longer harnessed and more comfort but the Frontier would work better on the plane. I'm also thinking her son won't appreciated not having somewhere to prop his head in a Regent. Maybe I could loan her my extra Radian until the Sept. Britax sale.

Yes, the new Frontier specs show that the top harness slots will be just about equal to the Graco Nautilus. The Regent still offers the highest harness slots. I was also hoping that the Frontier's top harness slot would be equal to the Regent :( There should be some pretty good reviews out in the next few weeks!
When we had the Regent my daughter always slept fine in it and she thought that it was very comfortable. It has a nice deep seat so it supports the child's legs really well.
That would be a great idea to loan her the Radian! The Radian, from what I've read, is wonderful to travel with also.
Let us know how it turns out!

My girls are in Regents and my boys are in Radians. I love the Regents but they are huge. The Radians are good too but I like the Marathon better. I chose them (and the extra one) so I could get 5 seats in my car.

I will update later.
