Well my not gonna say SIL always used my dd stoller and now its awful looking she always left in the back of the truck rain or shine. I started to take the cover off. It came off every place but canopy part so dh said just to cut it and we would use velco or sew it back to it well it still looks awful hand washed and sewing it back on will look awful as well.
Is using homemade covers on strollers as bad as it is if used on a carseat?

Hm..I am not aware of any reasons why it would be 'bad', besides the obvious which would be holes not lining up, durability, stain resistance, reselling price of the stroller, etc..

There is a member here that makes stroller liners. She might be able to help you. http://www.nummybaby.com/ Her member name is Erika Ruth :)

Out of curiousity, what kind of stroller is it?

ETA: I also moved this thread to the Stroller Forum ;)

there are no holes in it the part that holds the child in is sewn into the cover for the new cover I would have to make holes
I really couldnt resell the stroller anyway as its really faded stained gross. I could just kill SIL. Its kolcraft escape 400 with the thing to hook up a cd player made in oct 2004. Its dark blue frame has a whale pics and its was a pretty seafoam green blue plaid but really cant tell what color it is now cause of the faded and being left out in the rain.

Thanks I couldnt find the stoller forum for some reason.

Good luck making your cover! Post pictures when you are done! :D If I was crafty I would love to make a water proof cover for my stroller that I could slip on before we head out to the pool. Unfortunately, the thought of sewing scares me LOL
