I saw on Walmarts website that the EFTA holds up to 30lbs. rear facing, I thought it was 35lbs.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5933974
Maybe I'm just going crazy, but I'd like your input. I even wrote to walmart and here is what they said:

My name is Candace. I am with the Walmart.com Customer Service Team.
Thank you for allowing me to assist you today.

We are writing to let you know that we received your request for
information on the Evenflo - Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat. We
carefully researched this information and per our website, this item
can hold rear facing from 5-30 LBS. We appreciate your patience and
apologize for any inconvenience.

My EFTA goes to 35lbs rear facing. I can't believe that they wouldn't even call evenflo to check. Maybe we should all send them an email.

I guess that they didn't even want to look at the book or verify this before answering uh?

Did you read one of the reviews?

"What a great seat! My 21 month old daughter outgrew her 3-in-1 seat rear-facing at 20 months old. I was not ready to turn her forward-facing yet (MUCH safer to stay rear-facing) so I needed a new seat. This seat will give her about 3-4 more inches of torso growth before I have to turn her forward-facing, and then will still harness her until she's 5-6 years old. Had I known the 3-in-1 seats had such short harness heights, I would never have purchased that in the first place.
This is a fantastic seat for the price. VERY easy to use and quite comfortable for my daughter. We have a small car and it fits nicely behind the passenger seat, leaving plenty of room for someone to ride in the front seat.
Kids are so much safer rear-facing as long as possible... this is a relatively inexpensive seat with higher harness height and weight limits.. highly recommended!"

My WM does not have the EFTA. However, they advertise the older EFT as a EFTA :(. that is probably what yours is doing as well.

I was excited when I looked in my WM to play with the EFTA, but very disappointed when I saw it was the older EFT.

I htink someone should contact Evenflo and let them know WM has thier info wrong.

I just bought this seat last week and mine is only rated to 30lbs. I am in Canada, so not sure if maybe you got a Canadian seat??

If you look on the back of your seat, down towards the bottom there should be a white label with a red maple leaf and the CMVSS 213 printed on it if it is a Canadian seat.

That would make sense to me. I had thought it was rated to 35lbs rear facing in the US. I bought mine at TRU and their seat info on the shelf advertised it to 35lbs rear facing but the box, seat and manual say it's 30lbs rear facing.

My guess would be that they have the Triumph 5 and the Triumph Advance mixed up. The old Triumph only went to 30lbs, so they may be mixed up because of that.

Hopefully evenflo gets it straightened out with them. And yay, that was an awesome review that was posted.

I e mailed Walmart as well. Hopefully they'll get the point. I was very clear that their info is wrong and that they need to update their website with the correct information.:(

Here is the response from Evenflow: VICTORY ;)

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Triumph Advance car seat.

I appreciate the wonderful feedback you’ve provided. I have verified on Wal-Mart’s website the seat is listed 5-30 lbs rear facing which is incorrect. The seat is 5-35 lbs rear facing. I am having this information forwarded to the proper department to have this corrected.

I am grateful you have brought this to our attention. Thank you for taking the time to inform Evenflo.

Sincerely,

Yup. Evenflo has a vested interest in ensuring the error is corrected, and it's not like Walmart can say, "Nuh-uh. You're totally wrong about this seat," to the company who made it.

I would SO email Evenflo's response, the original email to walmart, and walmart's reply (though not in that order ) to Walmart. Irritates me to no end when companies assume their right without even checking into things. I've been on the cust serv dept at Walmart since the EFTA go there, b/c the label is wrong on it. I even tried the liability thing. and they STILL have the original Triumph as the display model, it doesn't even match what they're selling!

Are you sure you bought the EFT Advance? Because I was playing with it for quite a while yesterday in Walmart, in Saskatoon, and the side of the seat said it went up to 35lbs RF. If I were you, I would double check that I got the correct seat.:twocents:

The next time you're in there can you look at the date of manufacture and check for the CMVSS sticker? The CDN EFTA definitely has a 30lb rf'ing limit, so I'm wondering if they either changed the limits on the seats that are arriving in this new shipment, or if an FMVSS seat has made it across the border.

eta: CDN ff'ing limit is 47lbs currently, if you want to double check what the seat says about that in case it is a CMVSS seat.

Weird, because I am POSITIVE that I saw 35lbs, as I thought it was quite odd. Maybe they had an American seat for demo purposes? It was just the seat on the shelf that I was playing with. I didn't look at the boxes, as I wasn't buying right then. I won't be getting another seat until the baby outgrows the snugride.

Ps. Is anyone else finding it strange that both these occurances have to do with Wal-Mart?

That's where I saw the 35lb RF limit was on the shelf at TRU. The info card placed with the seat said it had a 35lb RF limit. But , after I purchased the seat and brought it home, the box, manual and labels on the seat all say it has a 30lb RF limit and the one I bought has a 01/08 DOM.
