I work with a medic that has been dating this girl for about 3 years. She has a little girl that is 5y/o. Her school has been evaluating her for ADHD and other behavior issues. Cute little girl, VERY active, always on the go.
The mother doesn't have alot of money, works PT in a group home for adults w/ Downs Syndrome. She drives a 93' Neon.
Her are her stats: 15.5 torso (I measured so it's acurate) , 42-46lbs, roughly 3'6''-4' standing.
My medic partner was telling me that the little girl pushes the harness off her shoulders and just sits with the shield infront of her (I'll get to that in a second)! He asked if a BPB would be her next step, but he thought she wouldn't sit properly or take it off. Naturally, I said BPB no way.
His GF stopped in yesterday and I asked if I could look at her seat. This is what she is in! http://www.babyage.com/RateProduct.aspx?p=13624 Not only is she way over the weight limit but also her shoulders are way over the top slots (not to mention her ears over the top of the shell) ! Also, the padding is off the shield part and it is probably close to the DOM expiration.
We quick looked at the KDMF website. I'm wondering how long the waiting list is? She did tell me that the little girl gets Medicaid through the state.
I wonder if the KDMF would accept a donation from my memorial foundation to help off set the cost to a seat for this little girl? :scratcheshead: Should I try emailing someone from the foundation? Even if it was a Radian 65 or GN they donated.
