Gee if the knees could not be bent my 6 month old would already be out of it. His straight legs press in to the seat back.

Didn't you know that it isn't safe if your child bends his knees in a carseat? that's why I am rigging up a device to keep dd's knee's straight when we ff! KIDDING!!!! Why would people think that knees bending is unsafe?:rolleyes:

Those are some clean straps to be from1998---must of been freshly washed!

Save the harness straps and chest clip for the holiday crafts.

LOL I was hoping we'd get to see actual cadaver crash test stuff!

Have any of you read the book "Stiff"? It talks about human cadavers through history and has a chapter on crash tests with cadavers. Pretty interesting.

Wow! I was wondering where the bent knee thing came from. I had no idea it was from car seat manuals 10 years ago!

lol, liz - not just from 10 yrs ago!

My ComfortSport manual (mfg 1/05) says that you CAN keep children RF after 20lb, but to turn them when "the knees bend uncomfortably".
