I get to buy 2 new boosters.

John and I had our first car seat discussion. I've been taking his car on days when I don't have 5 kids to bring home (3 are actually mine) as it gets better MPG than the Armada (I drive at least 100 miles/day). Well I've been swapping the Confidence and the BG from DS teacher's van (carpool) and into the Corrola. John didn't realize I'd been moving seats back and forth twice a day until yesterday morning. When he realized I was doing it he looked at me like I was crazy and said "why don't you buy some seats that can stay in my car?"

So...what boosters do I want to buy?

Kids:

DD2, 6 yrs, 72#
DS, 8 yrs, 54#
DBK 9yrs, 65ish#

in a Toyota Corrola

Current set up: Confidence, BG, TB -the center seat is pretty narrow, the BG just barely fits adjusted for width about 1 inch wider than the narrowest setting.

I don't think I want another TB because the seating area is a bit tight for DD2. Would love to find a couple of PW at the Sears clearance prices. No armrests would be great. I *could* put the Radian in the center but if the install is at all difficult I won't because the potential for one of the booster children to unbuckle it is extremely high. (the Husky gets unbuckled at least once a week when I have a booster child next to it in the Armada.)

Make some choices for me, would you. That way I don't end up getting one of everything on the market, cause you know, if I had all the cars my kids go in set up with seats all the time, I could easily justify at least 5 new boosters. And 2 more 86-Y harnesses.

What about 2 of these? I have next to no experience with boosters, but I have heard these are narrow at the base and well-liked. EPS foam and you can't beat the price (unless you find a $25 parkway at sears).

Fisher-Price Safe Voyage Booster (better version of Britax Starriser Comfy)

Happy shopping. You know you'd love to get 5 more seats! LOL

They'd likely be too tall - my 53" 8yo is at the maximum height in the FPSV. And IMO it's NOT a better version of the SR/C other than the height adjust. Had a thread over the weekend re: this here - http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=40939

That said - babylove.com has SR/C's on closeout for $40 - they'd be a nice narrow option...But they're a couple years old already.

I never was a fan of the SRC, and I don't need particularly narrow seats really. I have the BG to put in the narrow center seat. I need seats for the outboard where the TB and the Confidence are. Really, I could just leave those in the car, and get something different for the car pool.

Really, I was hoping someone would know where I could find the best deal on Parkways. I'll be getting the Monterey's when they come out if they really are tallest, and if they look like they will work well with the 86-Y (for soon-to-be-MIL's lap belt car) , so I don't want to spend too terribly much.

Parkways are on sale at babyage.com for 59.99 with free shipping. Someone got one with a 12/07 dom, so they aren't too bad! hth

ARRGG. They aren't up on the website anymore.

They were there, then I went to go search if there was a coupon for babyage and when I clicked back 10 minutes later they weren't there anymore.

It looks like they are taking pre-orders on the Monterey though
