Should I sell my Recaro YS and buy a GN?

I bought a Recaro Young Sport about 6 months ago. Ds was 3.5 yrs and only 33 lbs so I figured it would last with the harness until I was comfortable with him in a booster. Well he turned 4 two weeks ago and with shoes he's 38 lbs. I was hoping to make it to at least 5 and that's obviously not going to happen in this seat. It might last through the summer with lighter clothes and flip flops but he'll only be 4.5 when the weather starts getting cooler again. After typing this the answer seem so simple but it is a secondary seat and I really like it. So what would you do?

Also what's the formula for figuring out how much you should ask for a used seat?

Thats exactly what I did. My 4.5 y/o daughter finally reached 40lbs. last month and I bought her the GN. I still have my Young Sport sitting in my living room...I just can't get rid of it :crying: I LOVE the Young Sport but I'm very conflicted about it. I know its an amazing seat, it just reaks of quality but only up to 40lbs.?! I had it up for sale for $130 but the highest offer I got was $100 and I guess thats o.k. but I just can't part with it! You guys are probably the only ones who would truly understand ;)

i can understand :). i have the exact same YS... same charcoal color. look how the SIP fits the differing widths of the torso and head practically perfectly. it's like an extension of the child. a seat of beauty . alas, 40 lb limit :(.
