Your opinions on this for PTing toddlers?

I would definitely get one of those. We have very infrequent accidents now, thankfully, but if I had known how many times I would be washing car seat covers I would buy a couple of those!

I would and I have. The piddle pad has been a lifesaver! We don't use it anymore. But we did use it for quite a while.

We have a potty trainer right now. We have the SKJP dry seats and have used them in our Britax seats as well. I find though that they do slide around a bunch though and unless I put Karley in the seat it ends up sliding around on the seat and she's not on it just right. They totally slide around on the Super Cool Radian covers and the Graco Nautilus we got from Walmart. But, I guess it's better than constantly peeing in the seat.

Tiffany, that car seat safety check with the urine/non-urine covered seats was funny and gross too. I'd hate that. :ROTFLMAO: I always wanted to be a tech. I never thought of that though.

My 1st check, mom showed up & was mortified to see that her toddler was soaking wet -- luckilly, she lived around the corner & had already taken my email advice about keeping a spare cover/harness set for emergency ;) She cleaned the seat & came back, giving me time to enjoy a free coffee on her for the wait :D I keep rubber gloves handy JIC now, but not for me: for the parent! I'll simply walk them through it from outside the car.... If they want better, they can come back when the seat isn't hazardous to my health :p

We have a Piddle Pad in DD's MA right now. Very thin - definitely thinner than a diaper. The pad is actually quite soft. It is simply a terry cloth material with rubber backing. It is quite flexible, and not as stiff as I perceived it to be in the picture. It does slide around a bit, and I have to make sure it is under her crotch area before doing up the harness straps. I have only had to wash it once:), after a little piddle! It doesn't interfere with the harness straps at all. Sounds like it has been a good investment!;)

I am thinking the the SKJP pad might be stiffer and stay in place better (but it looks thicker), although I haven't tried it to compare the two...HTH!
