The regent is a no-go in my captain's chair

With short belt path. I tried for an hour! It was exhausting and my back hurts. I tried to recline the vehicle seat and then unrecline. It seemed so tight pushing the seat back up, I thought I broke it. And the regent still moved all over the world:eek: So once kiddo is 48#s, my captain's chair is a no-go.

Just thought I'd let you know. Now I need to go to the chiropractor. Good thing my dd prefers the marathon. She should have a good 2 years left. Then she can move to the back bench in the regent and my oldest can move to the captain's chair in a booster.

This is kinda why I asked about the true fit in the other thread. Maybe that would work - if she gets too squished shoulder wise in her marathon sooner than I want to move my oldest to a booster.

What yr is your van again? That absolutely sucks. Now I'm tempted to go out and see if I can install it SBP.

That really stinks! Our regents fit fine with the captains chairs in our caravan. I'm so sorry.

I have an 02 Chevy Venture. The buckle stalks are so far forward and rigid and angled toward the front of the van. The seatbelt gets all twisted in the latch plate and it just doesn't work. At least I can put 2 in the back row. Now I just need to get the TA installed. Latch worked great short or long belt path. Oh, well!

Sorry to hear it didn't work. My husband's seatbelts are like that too and the belt got all twisted at the latchplate with the Nautilus. I do need to get out there and try the SBP for my Regent. It's just been too cold out to mess with it lately!

I believe Jenny/Scatterbunny had the same issue with installing the Husky in the 2nd row of her minivan as well...? Sorry. :(

Yes, it stinks! Sorry. I have several post on here about the regent in my 01 windstar. I will say I've decided I actually like having my son in the third row. I was really upset about not having both kids in the middle at first but now I keep the driver's side captain folded, get in with both kids shut the door and sit down on the folded seat buckle them up and get them settle then step into the driver's seat. It's working great in all this rain. I'm not getting soaked trying to buckle 2 kiddos. Trying to look at the bright side of life.:)

I liked when I had one captain's chair out of the van so I could easily buckle everyone up too! I climbed right in. But now our van is full. I'm just hoping that my oldest and dd1 outgrow their regent and marathon at the same time, or at least have 2 years before I have to change anything around!
