Australian Car seats

I saw a picture of an Australian car seat. Now I am curious about what other seats they have, can anyone point me in the right direction to see some?

This is the Safe n Sound site, the Britax of Australia. This is the main one I see when I am there.

Their harnessed seats only go to 18kg (39.6lbs) though, apparently next March higher weight ones will come out.

I want a canopy on our convertible seats!!!!!! Why don't we get them? This is a big reason why I'm lusting over the Orbit Convertible.

I can assure you, we Australasians would gladly give up a canopy for higher rf and harnessing limits!

I would give up a canopy any day for a higher weight seat

That is why I always buy a new one when I am home to bring back w/ me.

Also the Safe-n- sound seats have 4 positions for recline to upright and you can use any of them ff no matter what the weight of the child is unlike Britax seats when ff after 30lbs (I think) you have to use the most up right position.

Yes they are, it is still cheaper for me to buy one in the US and have it shipped over.

I have a special fondness for the Safe-n-Sound baby capsules as my then-four-months-old DD spent two weeks in one when we vacationed in Victoria. I remember being so glad that the gear hire company installed it in our rental car because figuring out how to buckle the harness was mind-boggling enough for me!

That's what started my passion for rear-facing tethering, though LOL!

My bil is working n Thailand right now, and I have some friends moving over at then end of the year w. her family.

Thailand is an alright place for a family. Life is pretty normal for us, though we don't spend as much time outdoors here (due to heat, pollution, crowding) as we did in Canada. Please pm me if your friend has any questions or concerns that i might be able to help with as her move date gets closer. We'll be here for at least another two years (and probably at least two more carseats ...)
