LATCH Question

I just spoke with a tech in my area and she said that the new curriculum encourages techs to not use LATCH much past 25-30 lbs. She said that the seat belts clearly can hold so much more weight that if you can get a good install that way, then it is a good idea to install the seat with the seat belt instead of LATCH. Has anyone else heard this?
Thanaks!

I am sorry :(. This is not true. You can read the cirriculum for your self here. My guess is someone jsut said that and she assumed it was from the new cirriculum. :twocents:
