Strollers.com - Regent Covers!

I just got a call from Strollers.com telling me that my order for the Huntington Regent Cover will not be filled because Britax IS DISCONTINUING THE REGENT/COVER????????? And my payment will be credited back to my card.

WTF!!!!!!!

Maybe since the frontier is supposed to be out in April they really are discontinuing the regent now?? If so, I am glad I ordered two!

What?!? That is just crazy, I am going to call in the AM also since they were supposed to be sending me a new cover, but they havn't called me back to LMK when it will be in stock.

Well I was just about to post the same thing about babycarseats.com! I got an email and a call that the covers are discontinued. I finally found this dang cover and at a good price and now I'm not getting it. :(

Wow. My two Sahara Regents arrived today (details in other post :rolleyes:). One with DOM 09/07 but the other is DOM 1/08. So if they're being discontinued, when are they stopping, I wonder? I just called EliteCarSeats.com and they haven't heard that. But their Regents are on sale for $242 (and so are the ones at AlbeeBaby)...?

I can't wait to hear what Britax says. I know the Frontier is coming out soon but I was hoping they would keep the Regent around. Oh well - the one that came today (that we're keeping) will expire when DD is 6 1/2...

I dont know but they guy said they are discontinuing the Regent and its covers.

I am calling Britax as soon as they open tomorrow!

I had a similar call about my Regent cover order from strollers.com earlier this evening. It wasn't clear to me if it's just the separate covers that Britax is discontinuing, or the Regent carseats as well as the separate covers. Either way I'm bummed. :(

I just got off the phone with Britax. The CS rep was definitly talking in circles when I was trying to get a definite answer on if the Regent and spare covers were being discontinued. She finally went with an answer. She said that the reason orders were canceled was because all the cover didn't have the advisory label on them. All etailers including Britax were not going to sell anymore covers until it was confirmed that all advisory labels were in place. She would not commit to an answer eith way about the Regent being discontinued. Maybe someone else will be able to get some more concrete info.

Thanks for sharing your call with us. I went to their site to send an email, but didn't find any way to contact them besides a phone number. I would call but I have no private place to call from here. I'm hoping if it's just the label, that they will be available again soon. I'll probably start looking for a used one in the meantime.

I am a little confused though. The Huntington covers came out several months after the advisory. So they should all have the correct labels on them. I could see recalling the other covers, but why that one?!

I bet they can't commit to saying the Regent is being discontinued without saying that the Frontier will be taking it's place. And if they're not ready to give release info. on the Frontier yet, they have to stall. But that's just my :twocents:, I certainly don't have an inside track.
 
alright i'm a little nervous here. a friends son i watched last year had a super elite( pretty much the same as the regent just a few models before) i loved it and said when my oldest was big enough i would get it. what age do children typically grow out of their marathons. my daughters expires next year in june i think and i was going to get her a regent then since she will be 5 and i figured the ma wouldn't be worth buying again. with these seats being rumored to be discontinued should i just get it now and use her ma as a spare for my 8 month old. the looks of this frontier really have me concerned especially since the height limit looks to be shorter then the regent. any help would be great should i buy a regent or wait and see what happens.
uggghh why can't britax just give us an answer. they are getting the business either way.

These are my thoughts also. She was tripping over her words and put me on hold for almost 5min so she could talk to a supervisor. :rolleyes: I was also calling because last week Britax told me they were going to replace my cover, but didn't have any in stock so they would call me when they were going to send it. It has bee a week and a half so I called back. I voiced my concern with the cancellations and wanted to know if I was going to receive my cover. After the 5min hold she came back with her answer in regards to everything and will be mailing me a cover today.

Maybe if everyone calls and asks the same question, they'll decide on a pat answer for everyone :whistle:
