Last night I saw an ad on this and it shows the mid captains seat rear facing. So my thoughts are would any passenger in these seats be safer, would a car seat in this position be safer? Seems you could put in a FF seat and turn it around. Or would it not work the same?

The T&C/Caravan vehicle owner's manual specifically prohibits using carseats on rear facing captain's chairs, as do all carseat owner's manuals. Neither the vehicle or carseat manufacturers allow it. Adults can ride rf on those seats, as can older children in the optional integrated boosters.

Unfortunately, I think you'll find all carseat manuals specify that restraints can ONLY be installed in FORWARD FACING seats.

The RF chairs are great for those who've outgrown any kind of restraint, though.

I searched before I opened this thread and didn't find anything, but it seems the question WAS actually asked earlier by another poster. Too bad it would have been a good concept.
