DHL is STUPID.

Sorry, but they are. They have delivered my baby universe carseat order to an address that does not even exist. They don't have a clue where my seat is at this point.
Can I scream? I was already having a really bad day.

I'm sorry. Did you get insurance? That sucks. When I was dropping my DHL shipment off once, a lady was in there trying to find her laptop that she had ordered, and it was listed on 2 different trucks. They're cheap, but they might be one of those "you get what you pay for" companies.

I've been upset with UPS lately. They've screwed up 2 of my last three packages.

I'd take DHL any day over UPS. UPS has yet to be able to figure out that I don't live in the management office of our apartment complex. If the office is closed (which is most of the time, they're only staffed less than 10 hours per week), then I don't get my packages. We had the same problem once with DHL, I called their customer service and have never had the problem again. Same with Fedex and USPS. UPS could care less.

When we lived in our apt, DH ordered new tires for his car. DHL delivered them to the right apt, wrong complex. We were lucky in that we got them back.

Never used DHL. UPS rings my bell and walks away before I can even get there, and FEDEX says my address doesn't exist.

I doubt I got insurance, I just went with the free shipping option. They are supposed to be tracking it down, but who knows when that will happen and what will happen to my seat in the meantime!

Usually free shipping options just mean it takes longer to deliver, but usually this stuff is insured unless buying from a private seller.

Thankfully, DHL delivered it to an HONEST person who just brought it to my house!! It is in perfect condition and I love the Mariposa cover. DOM is 11/07 for those keeping track.

I am so glad you got it!!! I went through this with a Regent that was not even mine. It was just being delivered here. They said it was delivered and I called them immediately to tell them it was not. They insisted it had been and would call me back. Well in the meantime a guy shows up in his private vehicle with a DHL uniform on and said they marked it as delivered and she told the driver he would drop it off on his way home. The driver was not familiar with the area. I told him nextime my number is right on the box how about a call saying you will drop it off on your way home from work. So then I had to act like an idiot when DHL called back and told them the driver left it at a side door we d not use and my som found it. I did not want the guy to get in trouble.

UPS always delivers my packages to my correct address, and on time, but the boxes typically look like they've been dropped out a 15 story building and landed in a puddle, and sat there for a while. Oh, and the guy typically rings my bell and bolts quicker than I can get to the door. I especially love how they leave my things on my front step for the world to see rather than opening the door and leaving them inside. (Live in a 2-family and share a front door with my landlord, then there's a little area inside before my actual front door.) So yesterday he drops my 2 Britax seats off right in front in their original box without being inside another box, for the world to see. "Hello World here are a couple of expensive seats - your for the taking!!" Luckily I was home and able to bring them inside right away.

I don't have problems with the private carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL)...They at least have figured out how to pull onto a side street and WALK a package up to my front door (of all the silly places).

My local USPS on the other hand...

My house is on a corner. I have a 3 season porch facing west, and my drive faces south. Mailbox is across the street from the driveway.

My postal carrier without fail leaves packages leaning against my GARAGE door in plain sight/out in the weather instead of walking them around to the front porch. I actually had a package ruined at Christmas time because it was sitting out from 11AM - 4PM in a snowstorm!

I suppose that's slightly better than the "pamper me" box a friend sent me last fall containing bath salts - she DROPPED that one out her car window onto the ground under my box - hard enough that the baggies containing the salts (double baggied) both broke scattering bath salts throughout the box.

OMG. My USPS carrier wont deliver our mail if he cant ge tclose enough to the box in his truck, even though he gets out and walks to the two houses beside mine, and all of the others within 3 streets of me.
