Need a new seat for a friend's car

I was thinking of getting a Scenera (that's what we have in DH's car anyway.) DS is almost two and pretty small for his age (around 30th percentile I'd say,) but he is all torso. How much longer do you think he could stay in it?

Also, how many different covers are there? I saw one at Burlington Coat Factory a few months ago that was way cuter than the one I have. I didn't know there were many options!

Re: Need a new seat for a friend's car

my son is all torso and will be 2 tomorrow. He is 33 pounds and still has 2 inches over his head in our Touriva. He has rode forward facing in it in the truck a few times. It works. I know he has room but I don't remember how much. If she is planning or willing to rearface him. I would totally go with the Scerena.

    He doesn't forward face.

I found three covers, one at Walmart, one at Kmart, and one at Target. Anyone know any others?
