On the way to school, one of my daughter's classmates (age four) was riding in the lane next to us. He was not buckled up. He buckled up while we were stopped at a light, but he put the shoulder strap behind him. Later, he put the shoulder strap in front of him, but I'm not sure he was using a booster, because it didn't fit him properly. Tenn. state law requires a booster for that age.
I would like to either find reproducible info sheets about car seat safety or make one (but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if there are already good ones). It would be nice if there were something with Tenn. laws and also info about the benefits of extended rear facing and 5 point harnessing. Do you all know anything like this that I can use or adapt? I'm pretty sure that the director of the school would allow them to be passed out to all of the students at the school. My daughter is the only kid who did not immediately graduate to a booster on turning four and I know that most of the kids have backless boosters.
Thanks.
