Is there a way to install LATCH anchors on a vehicle that was not manufactured with them? I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima and I feel as though the car seat is not Snug enough with the seat belt.

I think that was the wrong link, LOL! ;)

No, in general you cannot have the lower anchors (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) retrofit. There are a couple exceptions, I think VW and one other manufacturer, but Nissan is not it.

Top tethers can be installed in most vehicles, though, and is highly recommended for forward-facing carseats, as it reduces head excursion.

What exactly is the problem you're having? What kind of carseat is it, and is it rear-facing or forward-facing?

Thankfully I came back here in time to edit!

ROFLMBO - too funny :p I fixed it now so no one besides you, hopefully, will be the wiser.... (That's what I get for sneaking onto my obsessive fan club sites while I'm working)

hey, I found the last wrong link you posted quite helpful. ;) You never know if someone was looking for exactly what you linked them to...lol

I wish you could retrofit LATCH anchors. I have never had a car with them, and in some cars I have been in that did have LATCH, I found it was actually easier to use the seatbelt, but it would be nice to have the option. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the LATCH anchors in Dodges, but HATE HATE HATE the ones in the captains chairs in GMC Yukons.
