Now, armed with that list you need to register at Fat Wallet and eBates. Once there start looking to see if any of those sites are participating in their cash back programs. Now use those % cash back numbers to determine which deal is the best.

To find coupon codes you will want to look at both Fat Wallet and eBates to see if any are listed. If not, then it's time to hit Google! This just takes time. You want to Google the following: "<store name> coupon code 2008". Change the year as needed of course. Just start clicking on the links to see if anyone of them has a current code for the store you are looking for. Then try it at the store to see if it works for the item you want to buy. Tabbed browsing really helps here as you want multiple browser windows open for easy cut-and-pasting of codes.

That covers you for the vast majority of deal hunting. You can dig deeper by frequenting the Hot Deal forum at Fat Wallet, the One Time Use Coupon forum at Fat Wallet, as well as digging around on www.slickdeals.org. This is how to find closeouts that you can stack coupon codes and cash back, as well as PM's (price matching) to get the lowest possible price.
