What is the best way to do this?

Okay so I have been on here asking for suggestions for seats. My son will be getting the Regent and my dd who is 15 months I was going to get her the EFTA. Well I found out we are unexpectedly (very unexpectedly) are pregnant with number 3 who is due in October and my dd will be 2 in November and my son will be 4 in April. So here is what I was thinking, should I still get the EFTA then next year when the baby has to move out of an infant seat give the baby the EFTA and then buy my dd a regent? or should I just go ahead and buy my dd the regent now and get the baby seat when it is time? My dd probably weighs about 24 pounds my guess. My concern is how long does these seat take to expire? b/c the EFTA goes to 50 pounds and I wouldnt give it to the new baby untill probably July of next year or so would the seat still last them expiration wise untill 50 pounds? How can I insure that Manufaturer date is this year when I buy my seats? I figured if I got the EFTA now for my dd when our tax return comes next year we then will have the money to get the regent for her then which she will be a little mroe bigger for. I just dont know how to do this, any thoughts?

I would get the EFTA for DD now and move #3 into it when s/he outgrows your infant seat OR when DD hits the 35lb RF limit. I would definitely keep DD RF for now and wait on the Regent.

Basically depends on not only your childs weight, but age and height as well. Your 15 mo dd is too young to be in a Regent, she should still be rear-facing until 33-35lbs depending on the seat you get. Some of the replies are gonna want more info, like weights, heights and ages. Knowing your spending limit my also help. :)

Are you going to need to fit the seats 3 across? I'm not sure if there is a backseat wide enough to get an infant seat, EFTA and Regent in.

Well that was my other issue, we do plan on buying a new car b/c I doubt that even the Radian could fit three across in the back seat in an Xterra 2004. Right now there is a comfort sport and an apex65 and they almost touch each other.
